| Title: | Reaching for the Baldridge Criteria by building a Leadership Culture |
| Abstract: | Leadership, as a concept, is in danger of becoming a cliché. Most of us have read enough books, heard enough talks and participated in enough workshops on the topic. What we need are clear visions and examples of organizations that practice leadership day to day in ways that drive their missions toward the highest standards. Gina Frank Reece and Pat Alea will share the story of creating The Leadership Development Plan at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. Using the Baldridge criteria as a familiar and inspiring backdrop, they will provide an overview of the project goals, describe the 6 content modules, and explain the process that was used to successfully embed functional leadership within the culture of a statewide agency. Pat will emphasize the critical nature of culture, climate and micro-climate when implementing leadership applications. |
